Dr. Vikram Khanna, MD

Dr. Vikram “Vic” Khanna is a board-certified dermatologist that has practiced in the area for more than 20 years. He practices general dermatology and provides comprehensive dermatologic care for adult and pediatric patients. He offers up to date care in a brand new state of the art facility.

Dr. Khanna believes in compassionate care for patients with skin disease. His diagnostic skills are well known in the area and he attracts referrals from many physicians and other dermatologists. He is a true advocate for patients with skin disease and participates in clinical research in areas he believes that additional understanding is needed.

Dr. Khanna also has become well known as an excellent dermatologic surgeon and cosmetic dermatologist. In addition to mole, lipoma, cyst and skin cancer surgeries, Dr. Khanna performs cosmetic procedures daily with an emphasis on enhancing a patients natural appearance and discourages patients from electing for an artificial look.

Dr. Khanna lectures extensively on dermatologic disease and treatment and enjoys teaching medical students and residents who have rotations with him. He also enjoys participating on the faculty of Northwestern University Department of Dermatology as Clinical Instructor.

When he is not doing things dermatologic, he enjoys many hobbies. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, travel, art, novels, movies, and time with friends.

Background: After Dr. Khanna completed high school at Naperville North, he completed his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University as a member of the prestigious Honors Program in Medical Education. He went on to Northwestern Medical School ( Feinberg) where he discovered a LOVE of all things related to dermatology. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Emory University Graduate School of Medicine before he moved to Cleveland, to complete a residency at Case Western Reserve University where he also served as chief resident. This prestigious dermatology residency department has been consistently ranked in the top 10 of all dermatology residencies in the US.
