Dr. Heather Bond Southard, DDS, a northeast Arkansas native, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2002. Passionate about general dentistry, she also developed a special interest in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, having personally experienced the related pain and discomfort.
In 2011, Dr. Southard completed a mini-residency in orofacial pain at the University of Kentucky and is pursuing a fellowship with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, focusing on TMJ disorders, craniofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine. She is particularly enthusiastic about helping patients with sleep apnea who struggle with CPAP intolerance through oral appliance therapy (OAT).
Dr. Southard is a member of the ADA, ASDA, AACFP, and the AADSM. She is married to Stephen Southard II, and they have two children, Brandon and Blakely.
