Ocala dentist, Dr. Wayne Harper has been practicing General and Cosmetic Dentistry in Ocala since 1985. He received his undergraduate from the SUNY at Stony Brook and his Dental degree from Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Harper practiced in Ormond Beach until opening his office in Ocala. Dr. Harper has attended numerous continuing education curriculums including the L.D. Pankey Institute, Dr. Peter Dawson continuum, and holds a Fellowship (LVIF) from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Global studies. He is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Marion County Dental Association, The Central District Dental Association, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), and the International Association for Physiologic Aesthetics (IAPA).
Dr. Harper has traveled to the Dominican Republic with the “Smiles for Hope” program and participates yearly in the Smiles for Life program which contributes all proceeds to various children’s charities in Marion County as well as other charities across the globe. Dr. Harper regularly attends many continuing education programs with his Team to improve their skills and techniques in providing the latest state of the art care to our family of patients. Dr. Harper’s main purpose of practicing dentistry is to provide great and continued excellent oral health to all of his patients.
Dr. Harper and his wife, Debbie, have been married since 1977 and have raised three wonderful adult children who have blessed their lives immensely including a new granddaughter recently. In his free time, Dr. Harper enjoys donating his time to various dental charities as the need arises. He enjoys travel, golf, scuba diving and skiing.
