Dr. Venkat Gutta came to the United States (from India) in 2002 to complete animal husbandry studies. In Georgia, he passed the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam, earning a Master’s degree in Animal Science. Following clinical rotations at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Gutta became licensed to practice in Florida. Over the next decade, as an associate veterinarian, he gained additional experience at Banfield Pet Hospital.
Today, Dr. Gutta is pleased to serve pet owners in the Jacksonville, FL area at his own practice, San Marco Animal Hospital. He is known for a gentle manner in caring for dogs and cats, and in working with their owners toward optimal pet health. Dr. Gutta takes special interest in preventive care, soft tissue surgeries, endocrine cases, behavioral issues, senior pet wellness, and nutritional counseling.
