I am happy to have joined the team at Little Pearls Dentistry, as I am passionate about the prevention of oral disease and creating a fear-free dental environment. Both of my parents are dentists, and growing up, I was fascinated by how their work improved their patients’ lives, and how much respect patients had for my parents. I hope to earn the same respect, trust, and admiration of my own patients.
Pediatric patients are the population where I think I can make the highest impact on preventing oral and maxillofacial disease, so that children can enter adulthood having a great smile and being entirely confident and comfortable with their dental appointments.
I completed my dental studies in Romania and specialized in pediatric dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. To stay on top of current dental trends and give the best options to my patients and their parents, I continue my education in all preventive and clinical aspects of pediatric dentistry. It is my goal to establish the most optimal treatment plan for every patient based on his or her individual physical and emotional needs.
I am originally from the city of Bender in the Republic of Moldova, a country located between Romania and Ukraine, where I spent summers at my grandparents’ house in the countryside. I moved to Northern Virginia for dental school in 2010 and came back here after my residency in Alabama in the Summer of 2014.
In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking, horseback riding, and playing softball, and I play mandolin with a local orchestra. I also volunteer at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic; it is my way of giving back to my community and to this wonderful country.
