Dr. Ceraolo was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. Beginning in kindergarten, she knew she
wanted to grow up to be a pediatric dentist, since she admired the work of her own pediatric
dentist and the joy he brought children after improving their smiles.
Growing up a Gator fan, she followed in her mother’s footsteps and attended college at
University of Florida. She received an undergraduate degree in Food Science and Human
Nutrition with a specialization in Nutritional Sciences.
Dr. Ceraolo then moved to Baltimore to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University
of Maryland School of Dentistry, becoming the first doctor in her family. Upon graduation, she
made her way back to her home state to enhance her dental skills in an AEGD program in
Naples, Florida. Her pediatric dental residency program with NYU Langone took her back to
Maryland for two years, treating the children on the Eastern Shore.
Dr. Ceraolo has always been very passionate about community service, dedicating her time to
volunteering throughout high school, college, and dental school. She served as her dental class’
community service chair, alongside Dr. Virden, for all four years of dental school and they were
awarded the Baltimore Alumni Chapter, Alpha Omega International Dental
Fraternity Scholarship. Dr. Ceraolo was an active member of many organizations at UMBSOD
and served as vice president of the Student Dental Association, Healthy Smiles for Baltimore
Kids Club, and the American Student Dental Association. For completing over 200 hours of
community service, she was one of seven students in her dental class to be honored with the
Dean’s Award for Outstanding Community Service. She plans to continue this dedication to
helping others throughout her career and life.
Dr. Ceraolo enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running outdoors, and drinking
coffee whenever she can. She is excited to be returning to Maryland, a place that is now her
second home, to begin her career at smiles4children.
