Dr. Stephen Gaines graduated in 1993 from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology/Physiology and Physics. He continued his education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he earned his dental degree in 1997.
Dr. Gaines is fervent about continuing education and is constantly in pursuit of avenues for learning more about the latest developments in the field of dentistry. He has attended various programs and acquired expanded knowledge in such areas as:

Dr. Gaines is a sought after lecturer and hands-on trainer in the applications of advanced techniques and technologies for minimally-invasive dentistry.
He holds positions of Fellowship and Founding Member of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry.
He has also served as team dentist for the OHL’s Mississauga Ice Dogs, and Assistant Team Dentist for the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
Dr. Gaines practices at Sherwood Dental in Oakville, Ontario. His practice there consists of providing a comprehensive list of services for patients of all ages. Some of the advanced services offered include restorative treatments, cosmetic services, implant rehabilitative dentistry, and laser microdentistry.
