Dr. Andrew Sonis is one of but a handful of dual-trained specialists board certified in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. He received his dental degree from Tufts University, his pediatric dental training at Children’s Hospital and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and his orthodontic training at Boston University.
He has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry, Current Opinion in Dentistry, and as a reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He has lectured nationally and has widely published in both these specialty areas.
He currently maintains an active staff position at the Children’s Hospital and the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital where he is involved in resident training, research, and patient care. In addition, he holds the academic rank of Clinical Professor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is board certified in Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral Medicine.
