Dr. Russell Johnson is a Pacific Northwest native. After growing up in the Seattle area, he completed undergraduate degrees in both Biology and Chemistry in Montana, where he was able to take in Big Sky country for its true grandeur.
Returning to Seattle, he studied dentistry and earned his doctor of dental surgery degree at the University of Washington while being actively involved as his class and student council president. It was here that his interest in prosthetic dentistry and surgery became apparent.
To continue his training, Dr. Johnson moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he completed his training as a Prosthodontist and earned a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Science, focusing on digital and computerized dentistry. Dr. Johnson then challenged and successfully passed the prestigious American Board of Prosthodontics examination to become board certified.
Still eager to further his surgical knowledge, Dr. Johnson returned to the Pacific Northwest and completed a 3-year surgical residency program at the University of Washington, becoming one of the very few dual-trained specialists in the country.
Dr. Johnson’s free time is spent in the outdoors or traveling to see new places and learn about other cultures with his wife, Meghan and their son, Aidan. They keep active running, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and enjoying the Pacific Northwest!
