Dr. Morales is an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Department of Medicine Upstate Medical Campus, State University of New York, where he teaches dermatology to residents and medical students. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his Master of Science from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his Master of Science from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. After his medical training at Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Morales completed his internship at Yale University and his dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He subsequently was a staff fellow at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Morales has been practicing medical and surgical dermatology for about 10 years and has established a database to profile pigmented lesions such as melanoma and dysplastic nevi as well as Basal Cell and Squamous Cell Carcinoma incidence in the Binghamton area in upstate New York. His commitment to teaching has earned him the “William E. Clark, MD” recognition “for excellence and dedication in teaching” in 2008 and 2012. He has also received the 2004, 2006 and 2007 recognition for active teaching from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Prevention and early detection of skin cancer has been a very important component of Dr. Morales’ practice and he has volunteered in skin cancer screening not only in Binghamton, NY, but also at the “Immigrantes Hispanos con Acceso a la Salud” in Elizabeth, NJ. Dr. Morales has presented and authored several publications on various topics of clinical dermatology, skin cancer, and skin immunology in peer-reviewed journals such as: the Journal of Immunology, the American Journal of Physiology, Gastroenterology and others. Dr. Morales and his wife have two teenage children and in his free time, Dr. Morales enjoys volunteering for the needy at a local free clinic in Binghamton for the uninsured and in Honduras as part of the Cornell University’s Global Medical Brigades. Dr. Morales is fluent in Spanish.
