He earned a degree in zoology from Brigham Young University, graduating Summa Cum Laude (“with the highest distinction”) as class valedictorian. As an undergraduate student, he grew fluent in the Spanish language during a two-year stay in Chile. He became Dr. Nielson after completing dental studies at University of Washington in Seattle, where he graduated as the top student in the class. At dental school, Dr. Nielson received numerous awards and recognitions for his work with restorative dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, and dental implants.
Dr. Nielson has been active in clinical practice for more than a decade, primarily in Arizona. Since becoming a dentist, he has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education, dramatically exceeding the state’s licensing requirements. In 2013, Dr. Nielson earned the extraordinary distinction of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Nielson represents the rare combination of a highly skilled clinician and a warm, compassionate human being. His bedside manner is exemplary and his staff is second to none that I have seen in a dental practice. If you have not made the switch to his office, you are missing out on a dental experience that is both professional and caring.
