I am a qualified dentist currently working in England. I trained in orthodontics at Aleppo Dental Hospital (StR 2010-2012). The third year was interrupted due to the Syrian conflict. In 2013 I came to the UK and studied a Masters in Dental Materials at the University of Sheffield where I research 3D printed models. In 2015 I taught undergraduate students at Peninsula Dental School – University of Plymouth. Following the ORE, In 2016, I worked in practice as a Foundation Dentist in Somerset. I consolidated my dentistry skills during this year and leared how the NHS works, I stayed in Somerset in 2017 where I worked as a DCT1 in Maxillofacial Surgery. I improved my medical, surgical and multidisciplinary skills. Currently I work in the community service in Worcestershire where I am developing my skills in working with anxious children and patients with special needs. I am passionate about orthodontics and passed part 1 of MOrth and the MFDS exams. I look forward to return to this specialty in the future.

I have been acquainted with Mr Hany Almouslem for several years. He graduated from the University of Aleppo in 2010. He took my courses in orthodontics and occlusion as an undergraduate from 2007 to 2010. He was always a cooperative student with a very good basic dental knowledge and he had excellent character and good relationships with his professors and colleagues. He was intelligent, hardworking and eager to learn. Hany was a specialty trainee at the Orthodontics Department. He was very good at academic tasks and caught on quickly to dental practise and to the research process. He is organized in his work and is cooperative with his classmates and colleagues. He was the best in the class and had the highest scores in exams and in clinical trainings; thus his rank was the first among his colleagues.

I have known Dr. Hany Almouslem as one of the under-graduate students at Department of Periodontics during the last two years of five academic years at our Faculty. He graduated from University of Aleppo, Faculty of Dentistry in 2010. His grand average of diploma was “Excellent” and he was the first among his colleagues. Dr. Almouslem is a hard worker, energetic, very active, cooperative, kind, and of pleasing personality. He can deal with difficult cases and showed sympathy to his colleagues and patients. At the same time, he used to be very eager and willing to listen the advice.
