Dr. Kane grew up on a farm in South Barrington and after completing her dental education, returned to practice in her home community. She loves to make a positive impact in her patients’ lives through dentistry, and she also loves building relationships with her patients and getting to know them throughout the years. She feels like her patients are dear friends. Dr. Kane is committed to providing the most effective esthetic dental care possible knowing that the details make all the difference and strives to always know the latest advances in dentistry.
Dr. Kane completed her undergraduate education at Colorado College in Colorado Springs where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She then attended dental school at Northwestern University, where she was lauded by her instructors as very detail oriented and always striving for perfection.
Upon completion of dental school, she pursued an optional year of advanced training in a general practice residency at the University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago. During this year, she acquired experience and skills in delivering dental care in a comprehensive medical setting. Her dental treatment was focused on physically and mentally compromised patients in a hospital environment.
After completing her residency she joined the staff of the Department of Dentistry at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago and founded her practice in Hoffman Estates in 1982. At Illinois Masonic she practiced in the “Dentistry for the Handicapped” program and simultaneously opened and ran a satellite dental clinic for the hospital at the Illinois Masonic Center for Family Medicine. She grew the program for the hospital for six years before centering her time on the Hoffman Estates practice with her husband Steve.
Her personal interests include a passion for horseback riding. She has competed in advanced level eventing competitions. She also enjoys scuba diving, skiing, bicycling, hiking and spending time with her husband Steve and three daughters.
