Dr. Kirwan is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Professor of Plastic Surgery of the International School of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the University of Belgrade. Dr. Kirwan has published many original scientific papers.
Laurence Kirwan was born in Liverpool, England. He graduated in Medicine from Manchester University, and Iis a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Kirwan trained in General Surgery in England, Australia and the United States. He completed a Fellowship and was appointed as a Clinical Instructor in Hand Surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Kirwan completed his Residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
Dr. Kirwan is a past trainer and speaker for Restylane, Perlane, Dysport, Thermage and Sculptra and has given over 10 courses at the Annual Scientific Meetings of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He has also been an invited expert panelist at International Plastic Surgery meetings as well as an invited Professor and Guest Lecturer at the Siluetti Aesthetic Hospital in Helsinki, Finland. Dr. Kirwan was an Instructor for the Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship program at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary from 1996 until 2016. He is currently a Preceptor for the Surgical Physician Assistant program at Norwalk Hospital, sponsored by the Yale New Haven Health System.
Hospital Affiliations: Norwalk Hospital, Norwalk, and Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich, Connecticut. Dr Kirwan has his own accredited surgical facility located at 10 Mott Avenue in Norwalk. He also performs ambulatory surgery at the following locations: Holly Hill Surgery Center, Greenwich and Norwalk Surgical Center in Norwalk.
