Dr. Karin Harp, MD, FAAD

Karin Harp, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who founded Apex Dermatology in Westlake Village, California. Her lifelong dream was to create a clinic that stands out among competitors for its excellence in care and customer service. With Apex Dermatology, Dr. Harp has fulfilled that dream.

At Apex Dermatology, Dr. Harp specializes in skin care and aesthetics. Her goal is to enhance her patients’ natural features with body contouring, laser skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and more. As a board-certified dermatologist, she treats skin conditions that can have a serious impact on patients’ comfort and well-being, including rosacea, psoriasis, vitiligo, and eczema. She’s also skilled in several surgical procedures including mole removal, earlobe repair, and Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancers, including melanoma, basal cell carcinomas, or squamous cell carcinomas.

After completing her education, Dr. Harp attended the University of Washington School of Medicine for her residency in dermatology. During her education, she was selected for the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Today, Dr. Harp is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and CalDerm, which monitors legislation and policy that impacts the dermatological field as a whole.

When she isn’t at Apex Dermatology helping patients achieve gorgeous, flawless skin, Dr. Harp enjoys spending time with her screenwriter husband and their three children. She is also a talented violinist and photographer whose photos can be admired on the walls of the Apex Dermatology office.
