Dr. Karanjit Singh Purewal is a dentist focused on full arch implant surgery and restorations with an expertise in digital dentistry. He graduated summa cum laude with a double major in psychology and sociology from Old Dominion University and later went to dental school at The Medical University of South Carolina school of Dental Medicine (MUSC). Dr. Purewal graduated from MUSC receiving the Esthetic Dentistry award for the top graduate demonstrating most clinical proficiency in esthetic dentistry from the American Academy for Esthetic Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Purewal continued to pursue his passion for esthetic and digital dentistry by completing a digital dentistry residency program, where he focused on innovative workflows for complex cases using new technologies in the field of dentistry. Using various intraoral scanners and lab software, Dr. Purewal has extensive experience with designing and 3D printing various restorations such as same-day crowns, full arch printed/milled temporary and final hybrids, dentures, surgical guides, and custom healing abutments. He also enjoys in-house milling and characterizing final zirconia full arch prosthesis for the best esthetic results tailormade for the patient’s desire. Dr. Purewal also has a focus on complex occlusion cases, such as reestablishing vertical dimension of occlusion with full mouth crowns and/or all AO4/AOX prosthesis, while helping patients achieve the functional smiles they desire. Dr. Purewal is passionate about focusing on the advancements of digital dentistry. He serves as the clinical trainer as well at The Smile Company. In this role, he is responsible for integrating and standardizing clinical/lab workflows, implementing systems to train new and existing staff on various digital technologies and utilizing new software and equipment. Dr. Purewal enjoys serving his patients and his community in Greenville, SC. He has a passion for his craft and loves seeing the smiles on his patients’ faces. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and photography.
