Dr. Jessica Allen is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School where she was recipient of the renowned L.D. Britt Scholarship. She developed psychiatry expertise through her specialty training that began at Vidant Medical Center with East Carolina University where she completed her residency training in general adult psychiatry. She furthered her psychiatric education by completing an intensive one-year Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the prestigious Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Allen has had a highly active research career, presenting various research projects at regional and national scientific meetings and publishing several manuscripts in national medical journals.
Dr. Allen is trained to use both medication and talk therapy to treat all psychiatric disorders. All patients are treated in a compassionate, non-judgmental, warm, and strictly confidential environment.
