Dr. Jaimie DeRosa is a double-board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. DeRosa devotes her practice to facial plastic surgery, with a special interest in rhinoplasty (both primary and revision) and aging face surgery. Dr. DeRosa works diligently to address the needs of her patients in the safest and most meticulous manner possible, keeping her patients’ needs her top priority. In procedures such as rhinoplasty, she believes that optimizing function is equally as important as aesthetics. She strives to achieve natural results that will stand the test of time.
After graduating college with a bachelor in science with distinction from the University of Virginia, Dr. DeRosa obtained a masters in science at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute/SUNY @Buffalo. She completed her medical degree at SUNY@ Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. DeRosa underwent otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency training at Boston University and was appointed to be the administrative chief resident. She then pursued intensive fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In 2008, she was recruited to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary to further develop the Harvard-based otolaryngology residency training program within the division of facial plastic surgery and is an assistant professor in otology and laryngology at the Harvard Medical School. Seeking a personalized, boutique approach to caring for her patients, she opened the DeRosa Clinic. She maintains admitting and operating privileges at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Boston Medical Center. She continues to be involved in teaching at various institutions and is an assistant professor of otolaryngology at Boston University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. DeRosa has been an invited lecturer throughout the United States and abroad. She also is actively involved in both the American Board of Otolaryngology and American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery board certification processes and served as chair of both the Fellowship Curriculum Compendium Subcommittee and the Women in Facial Plastic Surgery Committee for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She co-chaired the 2017 American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery annual meeting.
