Dr. Huma Mahmood, DO

Dr. Mahmood is an outstanding physician who truly cares about her patients and their families. She has outstanding communication skills. Her medical knowledge is exemplary. She is easy to relate to. She always puts her patients first. Dr. Mahmood loves what she does and it shows!

When one thinks what are the qualities that make an ideal physician certain ones come to mind: compassion, caring, honesty, dedication, communication, humility, intuitive, and ability to delegate. The reality is, there are many physicians with licenses and board certification; however, there are not many physicians with these qualities. Dr. Huma Mahmood embodies all of these qualities. She is very thorough and respectful with her colleagues. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Mahmood and seeing patients. I was able to directly observe her clinical skills and compassion with each of her patients. She was very dedicated to all of them as individuals. In order to be great at what one does, he/she must really enjoy what they do. Dr. Mahmood has been involved in and passionate about Child Psychiatry for years preceding her medical education and training. She had Child development training in her undergraduate years. During this time, she observed many patients not able to receive the proper care they needed and deserved. Dr. Mahmood later sought further training in medicine to complement her child development training and give her more abilities to be an advocate for children and families in need of quality psychiatric care. There are not many physicians I would feel comfortable sending my family members or children to; however, I would without any hesitation send and recommend them and others to Dr. Mahmood. She is compassionate, understanding, dedicated, friendly, and understanding. The healthcare system is difficult to navigate for patients, but I believe Dr. Mahmood is the right patient advocate to help those in need.

Dr Mahmood has a calming personality that exudes compassion. She is professional and exemplifies all the qualities a patient would seek out in a physician.
