Dr. Matthews has been in private practice since 1987. He received his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Arkansas in 1981, his DDS from LSU School of Dentistry in 1985, and completed a General Practice Residency at Charity Hospital of New Orleans in 1987.
He is a member of both the Arkansas and American Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a founding member of the Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy. He is on the board of the West Campus Dental Assisting Training Program where he also volunteers his time in direct patient care. In addition to that he offers his time bimonthly at the Samaritan House Free Dental Clinic in Rogers, a ministry of Fellowship Bible Church Of NWA where he and his family have been involved since moving to Fayetteville in 1987.
