Dr. Effie Politis is a board-certified, plastic & reconstructive surgeon serving the Tampa Bay Area. Dr. Politis is one of the leading women shaping Tampa’s beauty scene. She is a Florida native whose practice combines results-driven aesthetics with evidence-based, surgical services that take a scientific approach to making people look and feel healthy and beautiful. She brings an aesthetic eye, surgical skill and a personalized approach to the care of her plastic surgery patients. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Aesthetic Society.
Dr. Politis specializes in comprehensive face and body aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, as well as minimally invasive rejuvenation. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Politis trained under some of the country’s leading and most innovative experts in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. As a past Associate Professor under the University of South Florida Department of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Politis mentored and trained resident physicians in all areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Politis has received several academic awards for her leadership and contributions to the education of future physicians.
Her special interests are cosmetic surgery of the face and body, and reconstructive surgery for breast and skin cancer.
