During his over 40 years of practice, Dr Donald Waldorf has cared for the skin of generations of families in our community. After earning both his BA and MD from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a junior Phi Beta Kappa and elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, he completed his internship training at the Mount SInai Hospital in New York. His residency training in Dermatology was at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University. In between, he served in the US Public Health Service as a Clinical Research Associate at the NIH. He served as the Chairman of the Dermatology Section at Nyack Hospital for many years and was the founder and chair of the Rockland County Unit of the American Cancer Society’s annual skin cancer screening program. He is known as the dermatologist for both routine and the obscure skin problems. He is listed as a leading dermatologist in the Castle Connolly Guide to Top Doctors New York Metro Area, The Best Doctors in America and received a Patient’s Choice America’s Most Compassionate Physician Certificate of Appreciation. He has particular interests in the use of biologic drugs for psoriasis, contact dermatitis, and skin cancer.
