Dr. David Fairbanks: Board Certified – American Board of Family Medicine, Fellow – American Academy of Family Physicians. He provides initial emergency care to the host of patients entering the hospital with a broad spectrum illnesses and injuries, from acute infections to life-threatening conditions. I resuscitate critical patients and treat acutely ill patients in the emergency department.

I had the great pleasure of working with David while we both served as physicians in the United States Air Force. David was the officer-in-charge of his squadron medical element. That position made him the primary care physician not only to the active duty service men and women assigned to his squadron, but to their families as well. He was essentially a small-town doctor to all the members of the squadron and their dependents. David took this responsibility very seriously and was not only available during clinic hours, but made him self available nights, weekends and holidays. He would attend all squadron sporting events and was the team doctor and the on-sight first responder. When a squadron member or one of their dependents was hospitalized, he would round on them even if another physician was managing their hospital care. I consider David a good friend and a very compassionate, caring and capable physician. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their physician. I recommend him as an excellent physician and as an exceptional individual without hesitation

Dr. Fairbanks is a pleasure to work with. He is an expert diagnostician, an excellent clinician, and a skilled surgeon. He is loved by patients and staff for his caring bedside manner and his attention to detail. He is respected among his peers for his thorough evaluations and appropriate referrals and by administration for his accurate and timely documentation. I enjoyed working with him at Central Valley Medical Center particularly because of his willingness to provide assistance on busy days and to come in at the last minute to resolve unforeseen scheduling conflicts. Dave embodies the best qualities in a physician: a superb knowledge of the science, a sincere compassion for the patient, and a skilled talent for the art of healing
