Dr. Danish Ali is a fellowship-trained triple board-certified interventional pain management specialist and assistant professor at the University of Houston’s College of Medicine.
A Houston native, Dr. Ali graduated from University of Houston with Honors. He obtained his medical degree from the University of North Texas’ Health Science Center in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Concurrently in Medical School, he obtained a certificate in Public Health. Dr. Ali furthered his medical education by specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Dell Medical School within the Seton Brain & Spine Institute in Austin, Texas. His special interest in pain medicine led him to further sub-specialize in Pain Management at University of Texas Medical Branch with affiliation of the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Ali’s focus is to improve the opioid epidemic by offering patients comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to the practice of pain medicine and the application of interventional treatments for management of acute or chronic pain and related diseases. Dr. Ali specializes in degenerative diseases of the spine, post-surgical pain, cancer pain, arthritis, headaches, joint & extremity pain, sports medicine, and various musculoskeletal & neurological disorders.
Dr. Ali is active in and out of the medical community, he has presented in numerous medical conferences. He has been featured in various news articles and is the Medical Correspondent for FOX26 Houston where he is regularly on television discussing various current medical issues in the community. He is also active in training medical students and residents, serving as an Assistant Professor for University of Houston College of Medicine and Baylor College of Medicine.
Beyond his love and dedication to medicine, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time with his friends and family, including his wife and two kids. He is active at the gym and routinely exercises as well as playing basketball outdoors when weather permits.
