Dr. Kaltchev earned his degree as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, receiving an award for excellence in removable prosthodontics. Prior to that, he obtained a degree in Stomatology from Sofia Medical University, Bulgaria.
From 1996 to 1999 he was appointed lecturer at Varna Medical University, while maintaining a full-time private practice in prosthetic and restorative dentistry. He served on the editorial board of the Bulgarian dental journal Quintessence BG, part of the Quintessence Company. From 2004 to 2009 he worked with the world-renowned Drs. Mopper and Hartlieb. Dr. Kaltchev is a general and family dentist with focus on dentures and composite dental bonding. He has extensive training in early orthodontic treatment and facial development in children. During his free time, Dr. Kaltchev enjoys being with his wife Petya; playing with his sons — Simeon, Konstantine, Samuel and parakeet Buddy; gardening; traveling and visiting Downtown Chicago. “Winter is the best time of the year, because we can go out, make snowmen and have snowball fights together.” He believes in giving back to the community, and is an active member of his church.
