After graduating from The Citadel, cum laude, Lt. Layman served as a paratrooper with the Army’s 82nd Airborne. While in dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Bill was elected and served four years as class president. As an orthodontic resident at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Bill was part of the Cleft Palate and Cranio-Facial Anomalies Team, and received extensive training in the dental treatments of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Dr. Bill served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Bill dedicates time to his family, Orthodontic and Sleep Apnea practice, triathlons, traveling, playing tennis and golf, yoga and local charities. He also lectures at the Orthodontic residencies at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Medical University of South Carolina.
