I am a consultant medical oncologist and haematologist. I have done my MBBS from SMS medical college, Jaipur, followed by MD in internal medicine from RNT medical college, Udaipur. Then I went on to do DM (super-specialisation) in medical oncology, with training in haematology, paediatric oncology, bone marrow transplantation and palliative medicine from one of the biggest cancer institutes of Asia: Gujarat cancer and research institute & MP Shah cancer hospital, Ahmedabad.
Presently, I am working at Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre as consultant medical oncologist and hematologist and Asst. Professor of medicine. Prior to this, I worked at Jindal institute of medical sciences, Hisar as consultant and the head of department of medical oncology. I have the experience of administering more than 50,000 chemotherapy cycles to patients with cancer. At our centre, we have the state of the art of cancer treatment facilities, including the Varian VitalBeam™ linear accelerator for delivering radiation therapy, PET-CT scan, Gamma camera, modular operation theatre with full laparoscopy compatibility for all types of cancer surgeries, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for treating advanced cancers, dedicated chemotherapy daycare ward with biosafety cabinets, and all types of cancer medicines, including, conventional cytotoxic chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, palliative medicines, pain management services and rehabilitation services. Me and my team, at our centre, treat all types of cancers, including solid malignancy, haematological malignancies, benign haematology conditions, gynaecological cancers and paediatric cancers. I’ve published more than 125 books on the subject of oncology, many of which have been bestsellers. I am also a published author of many articles, reviews, case studies and research papers in esteemed international journals. Apart from academic publications, I have also published eight poetry books with my international award-winning poems. Some of my bestselling books include the titles on chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, a survival guide for patients; acute myeloid leukaemia, a survival guide for patients; Hodgkin’s lymphoma; oncology board review, published in four volumes; chemotherapy review; a comprehensive review of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and breast cancer, a definitive guide for patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
