Dr. Vinod Kumar is an interventional cardiovascular specialist with 30+ years in vascular medicine and founder of Heart Vascular and Leg Center in Bakersfield (1992). He trained in cardiology at Baylor under Dr. Michael DeBakey and in interventional cardiology at UCLA, and holds six board certifications. He is the only Bakersfield specialist trained directly by Dr. Yuji Okuno, inventor of Genicular Artery Embolization, in Tokyo. Having treated 10,000+ Kern County patients, he brings minimally invasive care for PAD, vein disease, knee pain, plantar fasciitis and hemorrhoids close to home.
