Dr. Thuan T Nguyen, MD, FACS

Thomas T. Nguyen, M.D, the medical director of The Institute of Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery, is a highly respected, board-certified plastic surgeon with over 15 years of experience. He has contributed his knowledge to multiple publications. Dr. Nguyen is a former Assistant Professor of Surgery at USC Medical School. He is caring, compassionate, and dedicated to providing his patients with the best care possible, and beautiful, natural looking results.

Dr. Nguyen graduated Magna cum Laude from Millsaps College, and received numerous honors for academic excellence including "Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities" and "Outstanding Pre-Med Student of the Year." He completed post-graduate training with the University of Texas Medical Branch and the Mississippi School of Medicine.

The doctor completed fellowships with Shriners Burn Institute of Plastic Surgery at The Medical University of South Carolina and the National Institute of Health. During that time, he developed a passion for helping burn victims, and began intensive study of this branch of reconstructive surgery. His tireless work has contributed significantly to burn research; he has published nine book chapters, and twenty-three articles on the subject, as well as giving multiple lectures across the United States and Canada.
