Dr. Steven Emmet

Dr. Emmet's father was the first dermatologist in Long Island, New York. So at age seven, it was only natural for him to want to become a dermatologist. He graduated and received his medical degree from Boston University. He completed an internship at Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Dr. Emmet worked with the U.S. Army as a dermatologist for two years, one of the years being in Vietnam. In 1971, he returned to New York to start his formal training in dermatology at New York University. Having acquired a bit of wanderlust, he moved to California. He worked for Kaiser Permanente and then opened his own private practice in Solana Beach.
