Dr. Shawn Dornhecker

I have been part of the dental community in west side Cincinnati for nearly 20 years, and a lifelong Ohioan. My journey into dentistry began at Miami University in Oxford, OH, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology. My Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was granted by The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1998.

Shortly after graduation, I married my college sweetheart, Dr. Jesal Patel. We were accepted for an intensive one-year residency at Toledo’s Medical College of Ohio. Through this position, I had the opportunity to serve as ear, nose, and throat resident for the hospital, treating the public, underprivileged children, and patients with compromised immune systems. The hospital’s attending doctors voted us Otolaryngology and Dental residents of the year!
