Scott Nakamura, DMD

Dr. Scott Nakamura was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he attended Iolani High School. After graduating, he attended University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon where he majored in Biology.

Dr. Nakamura continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and received his dental degree in 1994. He continued his postgraduate training in Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania. From 1997, Dr. Nakamura worked in the University of Pennsylvania Faculty Network Practice, where he placed and restored dental implants, performed various periodontal procedures, provided both fixed and removable prosthetics, as well as practiced general dentistry.

Dr. Nakamura held a teaching position as Clinical Assistant Professor and Primary Care Unit Group Leader in the Department of Preventative and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, from 2006 to 2011.
