Dr. Samantha Leatherwood, DMD

I’d like to welcome you to Leatherwood Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. I am the hometown dentist and was raised in Denton, TX. My office is down the street from my elementary school and my 5th-grade art teacher happens to be a patient! I am back in Denton and so grateful to be able to care for the community that I was raised in and for the opportunity to give back.

I attended the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, and graduated with honors, before going on to serve a general practice residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. This program was incredibly challenging and rewarding and helped me begin to think about dentistry in a holistic and comprehensive manner; which we are not taught in dental school.

I opened my dental practice in Denton, TX, and am thrilled to be able to provide compassionate dental care to patients looking to improve their oral and overall health. My absolute favorite part of the job is building relationships with the patients I treat, and restoring their smiles that build self-esteem and confidence while returning to normal function. I have been given a unique opportunity to improve patient’s lives by helping their joy shine through their smiles.

When I’m not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband developing our land, taking weekend trips, and seeing as much of the world as possible.
