Dr. Barron’s career began with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Tufts University in Boston. Then came an internship in New York, before returning to Toronto to begin private general practice. Dr. Barron traveled to Hadassah Medical Centre in Jerusalem, Israel where he interned as part of his advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The final years of that training were completed at University of Toronto.
He has maintained an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Vaughan since 2004, and joined Mount Royal Dental in 2014. He received a warm welcome from patients and from the team, winning them over with a caring personality.
Dr. Barron has a special interest in oral surgery including general anesthesia, planned and immediate placement of dental implants, bone grafting, sinus lift, complex extractions, trauma, and pathology. He is Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Barron is both a Fellow and Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesia and is actively involved in the American Society of Dental Anesthesia. He has authored a number of papers and presented on oral and maxillofacial surgery in Canada, Israel, and the United States.
Dr. Barron is an avid skier in winter weather, and “grill king” in the summertime. He and his wife have three active sons.
