Dr. Michael Butler, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Michael Butler is a leading retina specialist and cataract surgeon that practices in Richmond, Burnaby and Vancouver (Canada). He obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Calgary and served as Chief Resident during his Ophthalmology training at the University of Ottawa. He then completed a fellowship in the Diseases and Surgery of the Vitreous and Retina at the University of British Columbia. Adding to his extensive training he then collaborated with retina experts at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. He has been recognized as a leader in the field of Ophthalmology with being honored as an Emerging Leader in Ophthalmology (Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto) and recently being awarded with the International Ophthalmologist Education Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
