Dr. Matt Erickson, DC, FSBT

Dr. Matt Erickson is the Founder of Body Right Chiropractic in Clearwater. He was born in Traverse City, Michigan. He graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (emphasis in Biochemistry) and a minor in Physical Education. He played Football while at Hope College.

After graduation from Hope College, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and graduated on the President’s List and received the President’s List Award in 1998. The President’s List Award is a clinical excellence award given at graduation to the top students in clinic.

In his last semester of chiropractic school, he had a chiropractic internship in Palm Harbor, FL. After graduation, he decided to move back to his home town in Northern Michigan. In 1998, he opened a practice in Traverse City, Michigan where he practiced for 10 years. In February of 2008, He moved to Clearwater, Florida to join a multidisciplinary chiropractic practice. On November 1st, 2008, he founded a new practice in Clearwater, Florida, Body Right Chiropractic. Dr. Erickson's practice focus is Primary Spine Care.

In 2002, Dr. Erickson became credentialed as a Board Certified Naturopathic Physician (BCNP) by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification & Accreditation Board, Inc. In 2009, Dr. Erickson became credentialed as a Certified Traditional Naturopath (CTN) by the American Naturopathic Certification Board. Through the Academy of Chiropractic, Dr. Erickson earned an Interprofessional Hospital Qualification in 2016, a Primary Spine Care Qualification in 2018 and a Trauma Qualification in 2018. Finally, in 2018 Dr. Erickson completed a 2-year Fellowship in Spinal Biomechanics and Trauma (FSBT).
