Dr. Lauren C. Payne, MD,MS, FAAD

Dr. Lauren Payne is originally from Columbus, Ohio. She went to Hampton Universityin Virginia followed by Georgia State University where she obtained a Master’s degree in Neurobiology and Behavior. She earned her Medical Doctorate from Morehouse School of Medicine and completed her Dermatology Residency Training at Howard University Hospital.

Dr. Payne is currently Assistant Clinical Faculty of Dermatology at George Washington (GW) University and Howard University. She is also proud to serve our military veterans in her role as Director of Teledermatology at the Washington DC VA hospital. She enjoys mentoring and teaching dermatology residents and pre-med students, and is Vice President of The Comprehensive Medical Mentoring Program, a non-profit organization geared towards mentoring and providing support for minority students interested in pursuing careers in medicine and healthcare.
