Dr. Jose Luis Rocafort, MD

I made by Bachellor in Science in Puerto Rico University from 1994-1998. Then I moved to Monterrey, Mexico to the Universidad de Monterrey where I finished my med school in 2003. I was president of my med school class for 2 years (2001-2003). I made my rotational internship in Hospital Metropolitano in San Juan, Puerto Rico where I was named Intern of the year. After I finished my internship, I was recommended to various companies that managed emergency rooms in Puerto Rico. I started to work on Hospital Metropolitano emergency room and on Cataño municipality emergency room until I was contacted from Hospital HIMA San Pablo in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on which I worked for 11 years as Emergency Room doctor. That hospital is Chest Pain Center and was a Stroke Center until 2017. On 2017, I was contacted by a company that manage the ER of the new Cancer Center in Puerto Rico that is called Centro Comprensivo de Cancer on which I work as emergency physician. I also have a primary care (family type) office in Cataño since August 7, 2007. I am a proud community base physician that mix my time and experience on emergency room and the private office for the benefit of my patients. I started my practice with cero patient and now I have more than 5,000 patient records. My practice is based on patient care and respect. We treat (my staff and me) as our family; like every person that comes to our office is our father, mother, brother or sister. This is how we has been successful and that is how I know to practice medicine.
