Dr. Jamie Vahdat, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Jamie Vahdat received a Bachelor of Science with Honours in chemistry and biochemistry prior to completing his medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan. He then practiced family medicine in Toronto and in northern Ontario before specializing in ophthalmology at Queen’s University in Kingston.

Dr. Vahdat received ​his fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1998.

Dr. Vahdat has been in private ophthalmic practice since 1999. His practice is focused on cataract surgery refractive surgery procedures , both Lasik and PRK, intraocular injections as well as medical and laser treatment of glaucoma.

Dr. Vahdat has presented several research papers at scientific meetings. He is a member of the Ontario Medical Association and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Vahdat is the former chief of ophthalmology for the Niagara Health Systems as well as the former chief of ophthalmology at the Welland Hospital Site.
