Dr. Greg Budoff, MD

Greg Budoff, MD grew up in Princeton, NJ and received his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He went to medical school and obtained his residency training in New Jersey at Rutgers University, where he was chosen by the faculty to serve as Chief Resident.

Dr. Budoff completed a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retinal disease at the world-renowned UCLA – Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, CA – a leading training institution in the world ofophthalmology. He is well-trained to manage all vitreoretinal diseases, but has a particular interest in complicated retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy and macular edema, age-related macular degeneration, and secondary intraocular lens surgeries. Board certified in ophthalmology, he is a member of the American Academy ofOphthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, and Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians. Dr. Budoff is a frequent presenter at national conferences and has authored many peer-reviewed manuscripts and textbook chapters. What Dr. Budoff enjoys most about his career is building and maintaining long-termrelationships with his patients which was what inspired his pursuit of medicine yearsago.

In his free time, Dr Budoff enjoys skiing, hiking, and appreciating the natural beauty of New England with his wife and daughter, as well as seeing live music and exploring new restaurants.
