Trained in clinical and health psychology, I value addressing both physical and psychological wellness through the lifespan. I have specialized training with children, adolescents, adult individuals, and families. My therapeutic approach is based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). However, I enjoy implementing differing techniques into my therapeutic practices. I believe it is important clients are active participants in their treatment and each individual requires a custom approach. I have specialized training in anxiety and depressive disorders, chronic pain, stress management, eating disorders, and functional disorders. I hold a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from The Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research and passed the North Carolina State Psychological license exam. As well, I have specialized certificate training in child abuse prevention, human sexuality training, multicultural and disability training.
