Dr. Neal graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine under the USAF Health Professions Scholarship. After receiving his doctorate in 2003, he went to his first assignment at Shaw AFB in South Carolina to meet his future wife, Lisa.

He continued training with a one year post-graduate Advanced Education General Dentistry assignment at Barksdale AFB, Louisana. This assignment covered a large spectrum of dental specialties.
